Our Facilities

Blackwell is very well resourced with some amazing facilities.

Technology

We have over 200 computers.  Four stage areas with 16 computers in each.  A very well resourced library that has over 30 computers.  Each class has its own computer linked to an Interactive Whiteboard.  We have 4 digital presenters or document readers in our classes. We have also access to class sets of Ipads and laptops. Students of all ages love using our computers at lunchtime as well.

Outside Facilities

We have 6 undercovered areas for our students to stay protected from the rain and the sun. 

In the Stage 2 area we have a volley ball court and cricket nets as well as a large covered outdoor learning area and an adventure playground. Stage 3 students have a basketball court and the back oval to play on.

School and community monies have been spent to install some amazing playground equipment for each stage.

We consider ourselves very lucky to have so many great resources.

Our gardens and surrounds are regarded as our pride and joy. We have an active gardening group who spend lunchtimes weeding and checking on our vegetables and fruit trees.

Our school has a large hall which comfortably sits our 600+ students.  Our hall has a massive white screen and projector box to show videos and or presentations.

We currently have 639 students in 26 attractive classrooms. Twenty classrooms are permanent structures and we have six demountable buildings to cater for an increase in enrolment numbers.

The school has recently added astro turfing to major sections of our playground, murals, totems and two new practical activity areas have been refurbished.  Our library was finally airconditioned in late 2018!!!!

One of our major community projects for 2019  the hall was airconditioned!!!

We consider our learning environment both inside and out to be among the best in the area.
