Warami,
May this Christmas bring you many reasons to smile. I hope you get to share this wonderful time of the year with those near and dear to your heart.
Some reasons to smile this year include;
Our students and the way each and every one of our 523 have applied themselves to learning, accepting challenges and stepping outside of their comfort zones.
Our staff and their dedication to the school community. Their willingness to take on additional roles accross a variety of areas. Their continued suport and commitment to our families.
Our families and their endless support of the public education system and willingness to share the journey.
I love being part of this wonderful Blackwell community and as I have reached a milestone of 50 years teaching I can honestly say there is no place I would rather be!
To our families leaving us for new adventures may you leave with fond memories and a few special reasions to smile.
I always love looking at our senior students leaving as young adults ready to take on new challenges with determination and courage. May 2024 bring much satisfaction for you all.
To our staff leaving for new roles, Mrs O'Brien and Mr Besre may you look back at your time here with fondness.
I know our families will join with me in wishing you both all our best wishes for the future. We have been so lucky to have you both here as members of our Blackwell family.
Congratulations to our newly elected School leaders for 2024.
What a wonderful leadership team following on from our 2023 team. As always an amazing group of leaders.
Wishing you all a restful, reflective and joyful holiday and New Year.
Yanu!

STUDENTS ARRIVING EARLY OR LATE FOR SCHOOL
Dear Parents / Carers,
We have a significant number of students arriving late and leaving early each day for school. Whilst we understand that some appointments can only be made during school hours, we kindly ask that parents / carers please report to the office to drop off and pick up students.
WHEN STUDENTS ARE LATE ARRIVING TO SCHOOL
We ask that when students are arriving after the 9am bell, they are either accompanied by a parent / carer or have a note explaining their absence.
WHEN STUDENTS ARE LEAVING SCHOOL EARLY
If you are collecting your child prior to the 3pm bell, please present to the office upon arrival. Your child will be called to the office.
Please do not go directly to your child’s classroom to collect them. They need to be signed out with a valid reason for leaving.
If you are sending someone to collect your child early that is NOT listed as an emergency contact, please contact the office prior to advise the details of who will be collecting your child. We will ask for photo identification upon their arrival.
We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Please ensure you return your childrens current medication with any updated treatment plans to the office on our fist day back for students which is Thursday, 1st February 2024.
All Anaphylaxis & Asthma Plans need to be updated annually from date of issue.
It is important to remember that any Allergy and Anaphalaxis Medical Plans need to be provided in color by your Doctors as to ensure we are able to identlfy the plan by sight.

Hi everyone!
Earlier this term we provided you with some mathematics ideas that you can do at home, and we received some great feedback! If anyone else has attempted the mathematics problems, please hand them to us as soon as possible.
Below is a link to resources the Department suggests and ideas they have made available to parents for mathematics and English. Have fun, be safe and see you next year!
