Another term almost over! Hard to believe term 4 is looming and we are already preparing for 2023!
Congratulations to our students on the manner in whcih they continue to represent the school and their families in many various ways. From the sporting fields, the spotlights of the performing arts, public speaking and spelling competitions to the general classroom and playground arena the vast majority of our students continue to be positive role models and accept new challenges with determination and resilience. The term has not been without issues, mainly illness, affecting both staff and students alike. We appreciate your continued support and hopefully the warm weather will bring an end to the flu like symptoms infecting and impacting on us all.
Term 4 calendar is included in this newsletter so please keep it handy as the end of year is always such a busy time. We have tried to fit all our normal end of year events in, as well as cater for the normal classroom learning that is our primary role.
NAPLAN results recently went home and we were keen to see how our students managed after so many disruptions to their learning in 2020 and 2021. Most students performed as expected with a few pleasing surprises. The staff are currently looking at our results and developing additional resources and teaching notes to support those areas that are proving difficult for our year cohorts.
So pleased to see our new SRC are being productive. Canteen menus are including tacos and slushies as part of the SRC suggestions. Thanks to Kids Pantry for supporting these endeavours!
It is with great happiness that I can announce the birth of Mrs Nowacki's baby boy Quinn. Born on the 14th September 2022. Congratulations to this lovely family. We look forward to meeting him.
Hoping the fine weather continues as we head into holiday mode next week. Stay safe and we will see you for term 4 on Monday 10th October. Please note there is NO Staff Development Day to begin term 4!
