A Note from the Principal
As you know we are in the process of changing uniform providers. Our current company Prestige/Able will cease trading at the end of Term 3 (holidays included). Excel our new company will be operating in Term 4.
Could I suggest if you need any items that you shop quickly as stock is not being replaced.
Yo, who operates our shopfront here, has informed me that they have no school shirts in size 10 and 12.
I also wish to advise that we will have one single school shirt which is the reverse of our current sport shirt. Our microfibre jacket also has a slight change with the school name embroidered along the sleeve.
All our logos will now be embroidered. I have included photos from Excel of our sample uniforms. The prices will remain similar. I am hoping to have these samples at our next P & C meeting.
I would like to thank my uniform team, P & C members and parents for your support in this new venture.
Kinder 2020 Enrolments.
Please ensure you have collected an enrolment form, complete and return by the end of Term 3 so we have an accurate indication of our kinder numbers for 2020.
If you have a child due to start school who is turning 5 on or before 31st July 2020, or know of someone with a school aged child living in the area, please let them know that they can come and collect an enrolment form from our front office and when completed it can be returned to our office with:
- Original Birth certificate
- Current Immunisation certificate
- Proof of Address (eg Utility Bill, Rental Agreement or Council Rates)

How Can we Support our Children to have Successful Learning?
Students need to be able to self – regulate their emotions, thoughts and behaviours. Being Assertive is one skill they need. This week I look at Listening, Focusing attention and Self talk.
Listening
At our school, we all work hard to be the best learners we can be. Talk to your child about this. Having these expectations ensures your child will try their best. The skill is to listen with attention. When we listen with attention, our eyes are watching the speaker, our ears are listening, our voices are quiet, and we’re still. Practice being a great listener with your child.
Focusing Attention
Learning happens every day. An important skill for learning is focusing attention. When we focus attention we use our ears, eyes, and our brain! Put on your atteeento-scopes and notice how these skills help you listen and learn.
Using Self-Talk
Another important skill for learning. Self-talk means talking to ourselves in a quiet voice or in our heads. Self talk can help us stay on task and focus attention. Think about what self-talk you might use if you were trying to remember directions your teacher gave you. Use self-talk every day when you need to stay focused and on task!
Enjoy the rest of term.
