Borrowing

Students are able to borrow up to 4 books each week.  It is important to remember to look after books borrowed by:

1. Keeping books in a library bag;

2. Having a special place at home for your library books;

3. Keeping books away from smaller siblings and pets;

4. Having clean hands when reading;

5. Turning pages carefully;

6. Not eating or drinking while you read; and

7. Making sure lids of drink bottles and lunch boxes are secure.

'Be a reading superhero - READ every day!'

Overdue Books

If you feel that the book(s) have already been returned, please let me know by writing a note on the back of the overdue notice.

The book will then be searched for and hopefully located within the library or in the student's classroom, as occassionally books may not scan properly.

If, however the book is unable to be located, we request that a replacement fee of $10.00 is paid to help cover the costs of replacing the book.  Payments for books can be made at the front office.  When paying for a book please ensure to take the overdue notice with you so they can pass it back to the library to allow the book to be deleted from your child's name and taken off the library management system.

Premiers Reading Challenge

The Premiers Reading Challenge starts on the 3 March 2018.  Students will not be able to access their online reading logs until this date.  Students can start reading books now and record them by printing out the personal reading log which can be found by clicking here to go to the NSW Premiers Reading Log.

Google Classroom

Classroom makes it easy for learners and instructors to connect—inside and outside of schools. Students are able to access this virtual classroom on most smart devices (Tablets, Smartphones, Mac & PC).

Students can access Google Classroom from their kids space portal (accessed through the DET website) Click here for the DET website.

World Book Online

World Book Online is an online encyclopedia that allows students to access a variety of information, videos and pictures.

World Book Kids has been specifically designed for primary school students while World Book Students is aimed at upper primary.

World Book Online is an excellent online information source, which has current and accurate information for students to use both at home and at school.  Students are aware of the username and password but should you require them please do not hesitate to contact the front office.
